First of its kind CME on ROP organized in Siliguri by The Himalayan Eye Institute with one of the world’s best pediatric retina specialist, Dr. Anand Vinekar, Head of the Paediatric Retina Department, Narayan Nethralaya, Bangalore. Local Ophthalmologists, Neonatologists, Paediatricians attended this CME. D. Pranab Das from CMRI, Kolkata and Dr. Sangeeta D Goswami of The Himalayan Eye Institute along with Dr. Ajit Chhetri from North Bengal Medica presented issues and latest development in the field of ROP. A practical demonstration of Neo Camera used for taking retinal images of the newborn was done by the team of Dr. Anand Vinekar and they also screened few pre-term, low birth weight babies in a NICU of large multispecialty hospital in Siliguri.
