Annual Optometry Convention jointly organized by The Himalayan Eye Institute and its associate, Crystal Optical in collaboration with Optometry Council of India created an excellent opportunity for learning, networking and exchange of ideas among optometrists of this region. About 150 optometrists from different states of India and neighbouring country, Nepal, participated in this workshop. Dr. Asim Kumar Sil, Medical Director of VMA and an internationally renowned Community Ophthalmologist, Dr. Jameel Rizwana Hussaindeen, Head of the Binocular vision/Vision therapy clinic at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, Optom Nilesh Thite, Director of Educational Programs at the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) were among key faculty of this convention.
